Inserting and positioning the new bulb does not require any force. They keeps the bulb in the correct position. There are 3 square tabs on the bulb that need to go into the 3 matching notches inside of the headlight assembly. Note the way it comes out and put new bulb back in the same way. The paper clip like tab you push on is on the side of the bulb that is away from the motor. This same wire extends around to the opposite side of the bulb where it is hinged. While the tab is pushed down it also must pop backwards to clear the plastic notch that it is hooked into. After that push downwards on a metal tab wire that is bent in the shape of a small paper clip. Then you have to pull back the round rubber boot from the back of the head light assembly. This power connector is no bigger than a ping pong ball but is square looking and has a few wires leading into it. From inside the engine compartment find the back side of the headlight assembly, first remove the power connector by squeezing the sides of it. Hi You do not need to remove the whole headlight assembly.
